raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (fallen embers)
I am just a little bit pissed off. [livejournal.com profile] lilka asked if I wanted to go and see Chicago - I did and I still do, but couldn't go because of the bloody people coming to fix the bloody shower (does nothing work in this house?!) and then in the afternoon I think I have to go to the village. I'm going to get dressed, eat something, maybe perhaps do some work - not history. Maybe Classics? Did I have Maths? French? Anyway. Will probably watch M*A*S*H at 1.30, then go out. In the village, I have to go and see Tony, get lunch for myself from Sayers, and go the key/engravers shop about my dogtags. Might go to the library and see if they have any of Iain M. Banks' Culture novels, as there was a thread on the Dope last night about them again, and as I've only read Excession I figured I ought to try some more.

Right now, all I need to do is get dressed. And oh, yes... ring Southport Tourist Information for cinema times again. Colleen wants to go and see The Two Towers tomorrow, and I'm definitely all for that. I guess the doing-work thing will be shelved again for the time being, as I'm reading a rather cool fic of [livejournal.com profile] scarlatti's. I hate Maths, History and French, and I like fanfic. It's not difficult to figure out. Also, if I have to write anything else about the opposition to Roosevelt's New Deal, I will not be held responsible for my actions. And I have something else to do... yes, add "October Project" to my interests list. "A lonely voice behind the door..."

This holiday is just too short. One week, and there's so much to do, and so little time...

raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (stupid republicans)
I went into the village this afternoon, and had my faith in humanity restored by one of the guys working at the level crossing. Incidentally, the level crossing is barred to all traffic, because they're relaying the track and it looks like a bombsite. So, I rode onto the station platform, got off my bike, and was just about to begin the long haul up the footbridge when some guy came over and asked, "Do you need a hand, love?"

More than a hand... he basically carried the bike over the bridge for me, and was all don't-mention-it when I thanked him. So, thus heartened, I went on to the village. My dogtags are now engraved, so I'm pleased.

What else? Watched Voyager and a bit of Stargate... I do still love those shows, it's just been a while.

And I'm bored now.
