raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (Default)
I have been re-reading all my in-progress fic. Some of it is good, but most of it is absolutely dire. The only fic I want to resurrect is a Christmas one, than I began in November, and haven't finished yet. Maybe I'll have it done in time for this Christmas.
God, Danny-whumping reigns supreme again. And Pedar is reading Ascendare Astris - only the longest, most epic Danny-whumping tale I have ever concocted - that is if he ever finishes reading it. He better had, seeing as I went to the trouble of printing it off for him just because he doesn't like reading off a screen.
Also, I recently came to the decision I want to whump Hawkeye and Trapper. I wouldn't slash them, but they are so fucking adorable.... like the one with the Asian flu, and Hawkeye puts his hand on Trap's forehead to make sure the fever's gone. So fuckin' cute. Actually, I think I have that piece of dialogue (nearly) memorised.

For some reason, got into discussion with my parents over pizza about what A-levels I should take. I think I will probably end up doing Maths, English, Physics and Philosophy. Go me.
Got some info about last Stargate ep - Full Circle. Wrote to Em who is still in Belgium. Then watched that film, Bowfinger, with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy. It's unbelievably stupid and camp, but I loved it.
Talking of campness, I streamed a Will & Grace clip where he tells her he's gay. Which reminded Pedar of Lillith off of Frasier, who says, "No sooner had I got the closet of my dreams, then my husband came out of it."
We both watch too much TV.

Because it's Sunday, people have been going up and down to the beach all day. I was in my usual perch in the sycamore tree. That sounds like something out of the Bible, doesn't it? "Perch in the sycamore tree?"
Anyway, I wouldn't know. Religion.... aargh, whatever.
I finally went to bed at three am, and it was probably later, as we have just discovered the clock hasn't been working for at least a day, and while getting batteries into it, Pedar dropped it, and it is now going round and round and round - something to do with it being radio controlled - while my mother goes on her cleaning spree. I told her about Notting Hill being on tonight, but she doesn't think she'll be finished cleaning then. It's starting at nine.
Add that to the fact we had the usual argument in the morning, and I was starting to get pissed off. She'll never understand - I can't make her understand.
And then I noticed my paid account time is about to run out, and that just about put the finishing touch on things. I know I can't renew the time when it runs out (I only have it during the summer!) so to cheer myself up on that front, I ran the similar people search. It seems I am pretty much unique. There are very few people remotely like me using livejournal. The top person is... well, me. My old account, to be honest (I should delete that, I think). The second person on the list is [livejournal.com profile] scorpionmars, which is also not surprising, methinks.
I think I'll go down to the shore myself in a minute. Anything to get away from my mother.

Oh, my God! I got an honourable mention for Cold Coffee!
