Is a paranoid writer, though not to the point where she wears a tin foil hat on her head. Is also a Trekkie and all-round sci-fi freak, walks round humming Nirvana songs, sleeps too much, stays awake all night, and is deeply sarcastic to the point of arrogance. She can be identified by the dark red velvet hair scrunchie and silver dog tags round her neck.
Strengths: Writing, deep sarcasm, scathing wit, in depth knowledge of Star Trek, and is willing to offer information to all that ask for it.
Weaknesses: Deep sarcasm, inborn arrogance, laziness, paranoia, and strange tendency to go for long-haired guys.
Special Skills: Writing ansgst/slash/whumping, speed-reading, giving advice, ability to bend over backwards and touch head with toes, catching the batsmen out in cricket.
Weapons: Long sharp nails, barbed comments, condescending attitude, long words.
Thoughts: I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams.

I hope.

raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (powergoth girls)
I'm wearing the silver dogtags, and they're reflecting a patch of light onto the wall. Even when I sit still and try as hard as possible not to move, the light patch quivers at regular intervals. I have finally realised that those regular intervals must be my heartbeats. Every time my heart beats, the light patch moves as I move.
Talking of dogtags, I want to see the M*A*S*H ep where Hawkeye decides the military is self-involved, loses a bet, and walks through the camp in nothing bu hat, boots and dogtags, and no-one notices he isn't wearing any clothes!
That's what I'm going to miss about these holidays. The freedom to decide I want to watch M*A*S*H at one o'clock in the afternoon. Today I watched the one with the oubreak of flu - Hawkeye puts his hand on Trapper's forehead to make sure he's okay! Awwww, sweet subtext - and the one where Radar gets a penpal and Trapper decides to desert, but Hawk distracts him by pointing out he's trying to cross wartorn North Kirea armed with nothing but eight rolls of toilet paper.
So I can't do that any more, which is depressing. And everyone has to go back to school, the holiday is over, and it's just wrong, and wrong, and what's more wrong is the fact my mother still exists. Don't get me wrong, she can be pretty cool, but there are times when I wonder if she's trying to make life difficult for me. I have to do her writing for Kajol, but she wants me to go and see Tony at Pritchards, and I really, really, don't want to go anywhere. I don't want a job. Once we've finished Kajol, I'll be at least a thousand pounds better off. That's fifteen hundred dollars and 60,000 rupees. It's a lot of money. Not that I won't have earned it. But still, I'll have it, and I'll use it for everything I want. Currently:

  • Timberland boots, new ones
  • A Nirvana hoodie that zips down completely
  • A spring pocket chain from Woodstock
  • another Quiggins top. Um.... probably "Heavily medicated for the sake of the masses" or maybe one of the Sex Pistols' Anarchy in the UK ones.
  • another pair of jeans. I know I already have five pairs.
  • Norton Anti-Virus software. Strangely, I don't have any, and that's probably the reason for a lot of my online problems. The annoying part is shelling out £30 for something I will only use once.
  • A new Speedtouch modem, for the other computer.
  • A bootleg Windows XP disc.

That's it. Right now I really have to do something with my life. I'll start by finding my orange hoodie. I love it entirely too much, for a six-year-old, dirty, ratty and vaguely pungent orange hooded fleece.

Hobbits

Now, I like this picture, really I do. I thought all the hobbits, particularly Frodo and Pippin were so goddamn cute.

But why the hell did it come up when I was googling for Stargate pictures? Is the universe trying to tell me something?
Ah, damn universe, I don't care. Pedar wants to watch Voyager with me. I've never been prouder of him.
