I have a brand new internet service provider. AOL are making it very difficult for me to cancel the subscription - the computer "crashes" every time I reach the crucial point, but I don't care, I don't care, because in less than twenty hours, my broadband connection will be activated, and then I get twenty-four hour, 5000kbps internet access, and I am just a little bit excited about it.
Trillian, Getright, and the Livejournal client should all work, I think, but I'll probably have to reinstall them or something.
I don't know if I'm the only one, but when the computer is connected to the internet, I always feel that through my fingers on the keyboard, I'm connected to the whole world and everything in it, and the whole world is connected to me. I get the feeling that I am a part of something bigger, like the Borg's hive mind - many beings, one mind, all knowing, all seeing, connected and intertwined with everything there is.
Maybe that's why I'm so excited about this.
Or maybe I'm being delusional.
