"'Cause when he lied it meant he loved me,
And when he lied it meant he cared.
And when he lied it meant he loved me,
And when he lied it meant that...
...he was there."

Just watched Mrs Doubtfire. Not a bad film - the book was darker, and ruder, but I guess they had to sweeten it a little to put it on screeen.

Anyway. I am now here to "write something." What that might be, I have no idea. I am not very good at writing things at present. I don't see the point. I am just rambling here because and because, really.

No sign yet from [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow, [livejournal.com profile] cucharita, [livejournal.com profile] snowdrop24 or [livejournal.com profile] osiris13 yet. I want to hear about what happened today, as they all met up in town today sans moi. I was too busy sitting at home being a depressive self-indulgent fucktard. Yes, we're in real love-yourself mode today.

Seriously... I don't know. Guess I wasn't in the mood to cope with people today. Probably better I didn't go out 'cause I would have offended someone, without a doubt. I didn't want to go out for any reason... the only reason I can think of is to buy an 'H' bead - remember? Buy 'H' and get brain? I'm sure you do...

I have alternated between a very few songs today, and they're all older ones. There's Silverchair's Miss You Love, which is always linked in my mind to my fourteenth birthday, because [livejournal.com profile] _detroit presented me with it. There's also Rabbiteen, which I like for its rather cutting lyrics (quoted above) and Dido's entire album No Angel, which makes me think of the time I had my eyes operated on, because you tend to a listen to a lot of music when you're blind. I must have listened to that album four times in one day.

And then there's my happy song...
"Dude looks like a lady!"
Sublime.

I plan to watch Jonathan Creek later, while my mother watches a Hindi film on Zee TV (Zee actually disappeared a couple of days ago, but unfortunately it came back) called Humraaz. I asked what it meant; she had trouble translating the exact meaning. I don't think I have any Hindi speakers on my friends list ([livejournal.com profile] spykeraven? [livejournal.com profile] svendra?) but any help will be appreciated. I know I could look it up in the dictionary, but my Devanagari reading speed is currently so slow I would probably find out the exact meaning of the word just in time for the Last Trump.

Guess that's all. Where'd the last hour go?

Hum means 'our' or even 'my' if you want to be snotty.
Raaz means 'secret'.

Humraaz, I think, means someone who knows something about you. They know your secret.

Ah, thank you. You explain things much better than my mother...

Actually, been thinking about it. I think I was slightly wrong. Hum means 'us' or 'I' in the snooty fashion. Humraaz is still someone that holds secrets about you. An appropriate translation would be confidante. Someone you can confide in.

I knew I was slightly off and it bugged me all night. Had to get it out of my system ;-)
