Tiny little pieces of ice

"How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering our divinity?"
"Sleet" is an ugly word for an ugly phenomenon. When I finally ambled out of bed this morning, I went straight to the window and saw the tiny little pieces of ice hitting the ground and melting immediately, and getting frighteningly heavy one moment and then almost stopping the next. The weather has been restless all night, and so have I. It wasn't insomnia, just a strange feeling of I-shouldn't-be-here...
I was forced to go to the window in the middle of the night because of a flash of white light. I didn't think it was lightning, but what other explanation is there?
And within minutes of my getting up, the sky cleared. The sun is now shining into my room.
I'm not sure I like it when an outside influence seems to match my mood. I have had a fairly troubled night. I couldn't fall into a deep sleep and stay there - I kept on waking at the slightest sound and not quite remembering it, so my dreams started getting confused with reality...
And I fell out of bed again. Go team me.
Now I come to think of it, it might have been because I watched the Sixth Sense and then, as my mother had invaded my room and I couldn't fall asleep with all the lights blazing, I read Lioness Rampant. Two doses of fiction so close together might have had something to do with my strange night.
Thank god I have today off.
