I really like the thought of angstfic being the same as dark chocolate. It's sweet and bitter, it hurts a little but if you wait for it to melt in your mouth, you see it cuts much deeper than the usual fluff.

Anyway, thought for the day over with. I have done very little today, because that's what Sundays are for. They are for laziness and tomato soup and garlic bread and Voyager and TNG repeats.
I enjoyed it, surprsingly, and never did get around to getting dressed. Spoke briefly to purplerainbow who seems to be hard at work. Her MSN name is Corporal Cupcake, which both Pedar and I found extremely amusing. I adored Corporal Cupcake - he was just like Max, except Max was fluffier.

Hannah actually did some work today, unlike me. Well, I did my Drama coursework assignment, because Becca photocopied the prompt sheet for me. The deadline is on the sheet. Tuesday, Decem2er 13th. Oops.

Um... what else? Yes, I have been reading the Song of the Lioness stories by Tamora Pierce. Both purplerainbow and lilka recommended them unreservedly, and of course they were both right as they always are. One of the things I like about these stories is the way they're very fairy-tale like, with magic and knights and sorcerors and quests, but at the same time, Alanna and her companions are real people. They seem real. And the books deal with some rather non-fairy-tale-like themes, such as Alanna's rather obvious biological difficulties in pretending to be a boy, and how the prince has to hide the fact his father committed suicide, because what country would like to know their king chose love over his people?

When I put it like that they sound awful... but they're not. I'm really enjoying them.

I've got rather a lot of books to read at present. As well as the last book in Alanna's saga, I've got Ursula Le Guin's Tales of Earthsea (which I recommend unreservedly to purplerainbow, although it might be an idea to begin this saga with A Wizard of Earthsea), Bridget Jones; The Edge of Reason, Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke (I love all his books, except the 2001; A Space Odyssey books - hated them) and McCarthy's Bar, an eccentric travel book by a bloke called Pete McCarthy who believes it is sacrilege to go past a bar with your name on it without going in.

Ah. So many books, so little time...

I'm sureyou still have one of my books. The tales of a small island or a big country. Or one of those type books.
And if you don't I've misplaced it. ho hum.
