I echo all those people who have said this sounds like a good meme to do when you're having a bad day. (Seriously. About the only cheerful thing about my professional life at the moment is that I'm running a complex, adjudicated first registration - which is currently out of my practice area, but was given to me because, "Well, because... you're you.")

Anyway, meme. I currently have 148 works archived at the AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 148 (the first thing I posted there), and I’ll tell you three things I currently like about it.

Ahhh. This is the story I wrote for Remix 2008, Ways of Not Speaking (the Poetry in Motion Remix). Oddly, what I like about this story is that it's not at all a story I would write - the ur-story I write over and over again is indisputably a story about human kindness, because I have a slight tendency to idealise human nature and also I'm a closet romantic, and in this story no one is kind to anyone. Everyone is hurt and broken and lashing out. But - it was a remix. And the original author clearly had a very different way of thinking from me, and I adapted accordingly.

All of that said! The original story has since vanished, so it's now my story in a way it wasn't before, and also two separate people identified me during the anon period from this first line:

The thing about Dylan fucking Thomas is that he’s fucking dead, isn’t he?
