Suffer the little children...
Sep. 21st, 2002 06:24 pm"I feel stupid and contagious,
Here we are now, entertain us."
In the morning, I felt younger than I am. I can't explain it. It wore off, but it was nice while it lasted.
So, got up, washed hair, didn't touch computer, and my mother and I went to Southport. I had to call Vodaphone in the morning - they put me on hold for hours, and Pedar is being completely unreasonable about it. He doesn't seem to realise that it's my phone that's missing, I do want it back!
But enough of that. We went to Southport and it was actually fun. I have new glasses with silver frames - depressingly, I'll never get another free pair of them, as I'm sixteen in exactly four months. Frightening thought.
I got a train from Southport to Liverpool - carried on reading The Other Wind on the way - and met Em (
snowdrop24) and Clare at the station. Predictably, Em wanted to go to the Bead Shop - and also predictably, I met Gez there. Once Em had picked out some more beads (and Clare! I was forgetting that) we went back into the city.
I have bought Becca's birthday present - not saying what it is, because I can't be bothered to friends filter this entry, and I have also bought the black feathers for my SG-5 costume. An added detail is the two silver feather earrings to go with the feather pendant - I'm extremely pleased with them.
I met
eniddy and
sexy_saba as well as Loz in various places, and met Gez a couple of times more.
But now I've got to go and babysit for a little brat - no money, either! - as a favour for a family friend. Why don't they realise I hate kids? I can't babysit for them when I don't like them and they hate me even more.
Anyway, thanks to that, I will not be online at all after this. And for some reason my mother thinks I can't go dressed like this.
To those interested, I am wearing one of my (five) pairs of jeans - flared indigo denim ones with purple flowers around the bottom, and a top with the American flag (which Pedar got from Berlin, of all places), my green army beanie hat, and about five bracelets on each hand and silver feathers hanging from my ears. I don't see why this outfit will corrupt the little child - not that it would do her any harm, the brat - but my mother wants me to change into something pretty.
I have things I need to do over the next few weeks - mainly, make my costume, do my coursework, and tape season 6 Stargate and random M*A*S*H eps for Em and Clare.
Wish Hannah had come.
