...okay. So I sent off my first application. Thought, yay, one done, eleventy million to go. Thought, at least one's done, and it's as good as I can make it. Yeah. No mistakes. No typos. It's done.

Got an acknowledgement this afternoon, which is nice - just to let you know we received it safely, thank you for applying, blah blah blah. All good.

Noticed something odd about said acknowledgement. Went back to check application hard copy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH OMG ARRGH. I GOT MY FIRST NAME AND LAST NAME THE WRONG WAY ROUND. I AM A MORON OHMYGOD.

I did that on an application pretty recently myself, actually: noticed at the last minute, went 'ohshit, no', reprinted the first page of the form -- and then promptly did it again. So I thoroughly sympathise.
