I've got to go in a few minutes. The problem is I still haven't decided what to wear. Bloody indecisiveness, if that's a word.
On a quite unrelated point, anyone noticed the Americans swear less than the British? When I was there, I used to say stuff like "That's all rusted to hell" when talking about an ancient swing set, and then got treated like a virtual pariah. Nothing is "crappy" and no-one goes to "hell" and no-one fucking swears! And I didn't think my own language was that bad - it isn't - but while over the pond I became a social outcast.
Anyway. I really haven't decided what to wear, and I have to leave in ten minutes. And my mother is still not picking up the phone. Never mind, if I'm out of the house when she calls me, she can't stop me.
I think I might just sit here and finish listening to this song.

"If I could be your first real heartache I would do it over again.
If you could be my punk rock princess, I would be your heroine."

What THE fuck are you talking about?

No seriously, I think it may depend on which social circle you were in. Personally, I and my friends swear like drunken sailors with hangnails.

Not out in public so much, I don't go into McDonalds and order a "goddamned quarter pounder with fucking cheese", but "crappy" and "hell" aren't even swears in my book. I don't even get upset when my kids say "crappy" and "hell".

Perhaps you are right. But the British use different words - one of my American friends was slightly pissed off because I let an Australian friend of ours call her a wanker for years without telling her what it meant!

Where did you go to in the US?

People who live in the west seem to swear a whole hell of a lot than anybody east of... say... Nevada.
