No more dial-up!
Jul. 22nd, 2002 06:05 pmWent out to meet Pedar at Birkdale, and on the way, there was a punch up on the train. Some random morons were putting condoms on girls' heads, and some guy tried to make them stop, and I don't know how it happened but they ended up rolling around on the floor, trying to kill each other and howling like stuck pigs. Someone pressed the emergency stop button, and the train stopped - the fact it was already in a station had nothing to do with it(!) I had to get off then so I didn't see what happened, but Pedar wanted to know why this stuff seems to happen every time I get the train to go somewhere and meet him.
We were on a broadband network search this afternoon - it seems we have to network all the computers together to be able to get broadband on all of them, and it's illegal, but BT are prepared to look the other way whilst installing it. We'll get it done, get some new memory for me, and then I think all the problems with this computer will be resolved. No more dial-up!
