I'm soaking wet, it seems. I hadn't really noticed, but I think I broke my hood. Oops.

It has not sunk in that I've done two GCSEs. Two down, fourteen to go. The English Lit was not too bad, although I did look carefully at the questions, and you can tell they've put them together in a hurry after the original ones were stolen last week. The To Kill a Mockingbird questions - there were two - weren't too awful. I picked the one with the bullet points, asking you to talk about women in Maycomb, and I wrote about Calpurnia and Aunt Alexandra and managed to write a few things about them in the time alloted. The poetry questions were more difficult, and one had bullet points, so I did it. It was all about tensions. I lost momentum by the time I reached the third poem, but that always happens. At least I know I won't have to write about either the novel or those poems again.

When the exam was over, and I'd shaken out my hands - eleven sides in two hours, not good - and written down my candidate number, and my centre number, which will be engraven on my heart by the end of this, and gathered together all my belongings, I ambled on out. Went to see the art displays with Becca, Emma and [livejournal.com profile] cucharita. Time seemed to slip away too quickly, and we got to go into lunch at about ten to twelve. The dinner lady made me sit down properly (I was perched on my chair, as per ususal) and then [livejournal.com profile] lilka arrived, which was nice because I hadn't seen her for ages. Conversation involving the Sith and Moulin Rouge and the difference between form as opposed to structure followed, but in the end I had to depart.

Drama was at one, but we were late starting because the A-level General Studies group all needed black pends for some reason. I wasn't too worried about the Drama because I quite simply didn't care. You could make some notes to take in with you as well as your texts, but I couldn't be bothered. However, I did do one of the acting questions, and mananged to write for an hour (only three and a half sides) about Billy Liar. The other question I chose was a review question, as I couldn't face another acting question, and it was about a "scene or section with a strong audience response." After some thought I chose Jerry Springer, and wrote about the Ku Klux Klan and the tapdancing. I did wonder whether I should write "What the fuck, what the fuck..." in my GCSE, but in the end I settled for "Crackwhore!"

That was a lazy exam for me. There was the whole issue of I-don't-care, and there was too much time allotted, so I wrote slowly. I enjoyed the review question, though. Actually got into writing it. It won't get many marks but at least it's got style. Becca, in the meantime, wrote five sides for each question, and she did both acting questions. I was startled, as she's the one who usually finishes too early. I finished twenty minutes early, for a change, and stared into space. It was quite pleasant.

And that's everything. Becca, [livejournal.com profile] _detroit and me are going to see the Matrix Reloaded when it comes out on Friday, I think. I'm looking forward to it. Next exam, June 2nd, and that's Biology, so guess what? I don't care!

And now... coffee.

Gah! I have no-one to go with, so I'll probably just wait for the video. :(

Why not drag Hannah or Clare along? Are they against the idea?

I know Clare doesn't like the Matrix, and I haven't asked Hannah yet but I have a feeling she's busy with revision like a good girl... :P
