I had an essay crisis last night and didn't really fall asleep until four am, and then at quarter to ten I was jerked out of a sound sleep by the fire alarm, of all things, so I'm now horribly tired and just want to write a little bit before collapsing into bed.

Before that, though, something else. I learned this morning of the death of tenebraeli. I'm at a loss as to what to say. I didn't know her very well, but we had interacted in fandom, most memorably when she nudged me and teased me into creating girl_doctor - and it was she who originally thought of casting Rachel Weisz into the role! - and we later wrote one half each of a pair of stories, "Flowers For The Doctor" and "The Child That Time Didn't Forget." She was a really good writer - sweet, sharp and charming. Olwen took her own life on October 10th, 2006. I hope she found her peace, and I'll miss her.

Er... I have a proper entry to make about the last few days, but it can wait. This was more important.
