I pity
purplerainbow today, I do, I do.
In other words, the resident lunatics are back from SG6 and we all went back to school today. And I'm sure Hannah will have had her ears twisted off, or some less graphic metaphor.
My own day has been exhausting, as I only had a few hours' sleep and was woken at some unearthly hour (all right, seven) by the alarm in my phone. It makes a noise like a strangled rooster and makes me want to kill it. I had to quell my homicial (gallicidal?) impulses, and get dressed and walk down to the station. I'm never at my best before four o'clock in the afternoon.
The morning was uneventful, considering I dozed through it. I cannot stay awake through Utopia even in the best of circumstances, and similarly with General, and lunch was the only time of the day I woke up at all. I think I can arrange it so I can post here by email from school. I'll try it tomorrow. I mention it because I spent most of lunchtime glaring the "SurfControl" page that www.livejournal.com generates.
The afternoon was broken up by the revelation that we're doing a Biology dissection tomorrow and I need my labcoat. This has made Meg sincerely happy. She adores dissection. Give her a scalpel, a fish, and stand well back. Last year she managed to explode a sardine swim bladder. Yellow gunk everywhere.
I had a Chem test last thing. It was all right, I suppose; I got let out early because I finished early, and wandered on home. I thought there was actually stuff to write about in here today, but there doesn't seem to be. Hmmm.
I read about the extra userpics thing. It's cool, but doesn't affect me much. I can't fill up ten spaces without a great deal of difficulty, although I have to say I would like a permanent account. That's neither here nor there.
It's Christmas soon, according to Becca's mental calendar. We had a lot of Christmas-present-discussion today. Meh. I hate Christmas. I really do.
But I don't mind Christmas shopping. I had the best idea ever for
hathy_col's Christmas present. It'll be quite hard to get together, and I'll need some help, but it'll be so cool when it's done.
Sigh. Now to do some work.
