raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (punk rock princess)
Pedar left for America yesterday morning. He was a little impatient with the security checks he had to go through, and like him I wondered what was actually being achieved by his being asked whether he was a Communist sympathiser.
I asked him if the paranoia was really necessary.
"Two words for you," he said. "Colonel Flagg!"

I couldn't help but agree. He's now been gone a little over twenty-four hours, and it's becoming obvious that my mother and I were not meant to spend so much time together without a third-person-buffer.

Yeah, the gig. We didn't get lost - well, we did, but not too badly - and we reached in time. It was okay. Meh. The support bands were driving me nuts. I hate support bands. Spawn of Satan. I didn't even like Vex Red as a support band.
Two support bands yesterday - Steel Train and Home Grown - okay, but sucky. If that makes sense. SoCo were only on for about forty-five minutes. They played... um... Hurricane, Straw Dog, Fall, Drunk Girl, Little, Cavanaugh Park, The Astronaut, Punk Rock Princess, Konstantine and If You See Jordan. More and more I think they shouldn't be signed to Drive-Thru records, because they don't fit the stereotype in the least. You can't mosh to most of those songs, and while I loved Konstantine live, standing still in the moshpit is an aimless experience.

Miss Pedar. Want someone to tell all of this to. He had to leave the country. My mother and I are not talking and I'm not entirely sure why.

Nevermind. Something Corporate, live = good. Support bands suck.
