To begin with, I'd like to thank all of the people who commented on my last post. I appreciated it more than I can say... so I won't try to say with inadequate corny words, and just let you know I love you all.
Also, to spykeraven - hello. Nice to meet you, I'm glad to have you here.

And then, Pedar has guessed I've been lying to him. Obviously I wasn't happy... and he had his own thoughts on the matter. His take on it, though a little egotistical, is probably closest to the truth. In short, he said I am a novelty item. Not only am I from a far off land, hopelessly argumentative, and I wear funny clothes, I am the only girl of this generation. And to continue from that point, not only do I have an inferiority complex when I'm here, I induce one in others. They want to find something that means I am not better than them (see, egotistical!).
And they find it, when they look at Pedar. He is so obviously an extremely intelligent personage, the first of the family to go abroad, the first to enter a profession and become a doctor, as well as the fact he is the eldest child, all contribute to the sense people have that he can do no wrong. But of course, he has. He let his only child, eldest grandchild of Shri Balkishan Datt become completely assimilated by a foreign culture.
In short, he is human, he made a mistake, and it's sheer bad luck that it's a mistake I have to pay for rather than him.

I don't know if this is true, or just part of his tendency to shoulder the blame for things.

So, I shall try not to think of this. I have to go now, unfortunate me... tomorrow we go to Solan, early in the morning, and in the evening Chiklu says he'll take me to his favourite net cafe and perhaps trekking up the hills surrounding the hill station. I can't wait.
