Oh, yeah...

raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (enterprise)
Oh yeah, one more thing - I have ripped out a couple of pages from an old conversation pad, some of my handled notebook, and written some fresh notes. Mostly written when I was supposed to be reading Virgil's Aeneid, but nevermind. They are all going into an envelope addressed to Laura - [livejournal.com profile] scorpionmars.
Snail mail has its uses. Like that postcard from Becca - [livejournal.com profile] chanandlerbong. Je ne suis pas le fenetre! I like it...

It's been a long road, getting from there to here...

Well, not really. What I meant to type was 'It's been a long day.' I had to get up early to go into Liverpool with Em, Hannah and Clare... but for once I was early and they were late. I had a pleasant half hour in the city on my own, and I went to Forbidden Planet and saw that Raven Nevermore doll that I want, and after that, I went to the Bluecoat Chambers. I was in the quiet room where they hold the booksale, and suddenly, my phone started ringing on top volume. I had to run for it before the old people lynched me.
It was Clare, of course, calling to say they were in town, so I met them and discovered she was the only one of not wearing a hat. I think Hannah's style of clothes and accessories are very simililar to mine - in any case, she was wearing a hat like mine except not green, and I had my badged sheepskin hat, and Emily, characteristically, had a F1 hat.
We went for breakfast, then to Quarters, and I discovered I really need to start thinking about my raven costume. I can get feathers for it, but the difficulty is how and where to stick them.
We ate lunch on Chavasse. I had to go all the way to Subway for my sandwich, but I think it was worth it - the others thought I was becoming Joey of the sandwich-obsession.
I met [livejournal.com profile] stalker_girl - she thought I was looking for Enid, but I wasn't looking for anyone except Hannah at that point. That was refreshing - a small break from reality.
We went to Quiggins on Hannah's request - as usual, we all bought stuff we didn't mean to - Emily bought chains (she's turning into me) and I got a red top with "No, I'm not married/No, I don't have a boyfriend/No, I don't fancy your mate/No, I don't fancy you either/No, I'm not a lesbian."
And then we went to Starbucks, and I came home to find parents in usual state of weekend relaxation, with Financial Times strewn everywhere.
We have to go out soon. I don't want to go.
I also bought the first part of the costume today - a silver metal feather pendant on plain black thread. I love it and don't want to take it off.
Haven't written anything yet. I need to do the Macbeth essay before I can even touch Hawkeye and Trapper.

I was supposed to go out to some party with my parents, but I'm glad I refused to go. I have now written four pages of that Macbeth essay, and feel all the better for it. I haven't finished, but I think I'll stop this now and try a little fanfic. Either that or I'll go and eat something. Much too hungry.
I had a good day. A really good day.
