"Radha kaise na jale..."
Jan. 28th, 2003 09:22 amI'm skiving off dance. No, really. It's raining, and horrible, and as always I hate dance. I hate the way the teenyboppers take so much twisted pleasure in dancing to Christina Aguilera's Dirrty. Ugh. And I never break rules. I mean, never. Never have I skived a lesson. Ever.
And what else do I hate? I hate being hacked! Someone has changed my hotmail password, dammit, dammit, dammit!
Although, this is fun. Becca's doing spreadsheets (she's in IT) and spreading chaos and confusion every time she opens Excel. If anyone asks where I am, I'll say I came in late/had meeting with Miss Gow/whatever.
Talking of Miss Gow, she's talked me into doing that India assmbly. I thought it was because of Republic day on the 26th - when I was in Delhi I saw the arrangements they were making for the Rajpath parade - but it turned out she didn't know that and had just randomly decided to do an India thememed assembly. She has been to India, it seems.. she was talking about the Taj Mahal at Agra.
But anyway, the assembly was actually quite fun to prepare. I'm doing the reading/narrating (god, I love having a reputation) and Tanvi and Co. are doing a salwaar kameez fashion show thingit. They're using the music from Lagaan. I love those themes... they're using Ghanana ghanana and Radha, and I came out singing "Radha kaise na jale..." in a bright and sunny mood, because that song always does that to me.
So presuming no-one discovers I skived dance, today should be good from now on. If you ignore the fact I miss
purplerainbow and the fact I have to get back all my fucked-up English papers next.
But no... I have feedback this morning. I am currently in love with Meredith (
garnettrees) who sent me feedback in song, to the tune of Old MacDonald.
[Becca has just discovered there are seventeen steps to printing off Microsoft Excel]
You know what? After a disastrous start, I'm actually enjoying myself. I've got into hotmail, changed my password again, so let's hope it'll be okay from now on.
[I've been typing this on and off for the last forty minutes]
[Maybe I shouldn't have abandoned
cucharita]
