Yes! Yes, that's so true and not something I'd thought of: the show makes no distinction between the soldiers - the ones in the seance episode, and Jack and Bert and Cec - and Phryne's war experience driving ambulances. It wasn't somehow glorious, that they were soldiers: It's all awful and needs to be come to terms with. I think that's one of my favourite things about the show.
