I'm rolling around in this joyfully, it's so good! All the daemons are perfect (I had to go back and check that I'd read it right when we got to Picard because it was perfect, but also a horse) and I love how you adapted the concept of daemons to the questions Star Trek always asks about personhood. Also, you write the best earnest, sincere courtroom scenes I've ever read.
