Conversely, I am delighted that he was so plagued by the windowless hideousness of ImpSec HQ that he allowed his employees with SAD to requisition full-spectrum lighting.
In, hum... either The Vor Game or Mirror Dance, either Miles or Mark (depending!) is stuck in the depths of ImpSec and observes that one of the nearby analysts has a rack of non-regulation full-spectrum lamps on his desk. Can't remember which book it is. So Simon obviously didn't always allow it!
