It's fabulous, isn't it? :) But SO not for kids! The thing that got to me other than all the violence (!) is how open the narrative is about utterly, utterly miserable Rupert is - there's even a dark teatime of the soul bit where he's sitting sobbing quietly and waiting for the candles to burn down - and then the divine lot at the end say, TOTALLY IN PASSING, oh, yeah, we wanted you to fall apart. WHAT. Hello kids, there is a God, he hates you personally.
