Going to American schools your whole life doesn't prepare you any better for standardized testing either. We Yanks tear our hair out at them too! Tests like the SAT/LSAT/GMAT etc. are specifically designed to be stressful, tricky and absolutely nothing like any kind of test you've had in school, multiple choice or not (and doesn't the LSAT also include an essay section?) They're supposed to predict how well you're going to do in law school or wherever, but really all they test is how well you take that kind of test! It's a bunch of BS. People who score high on those kinds of exams have merely figured out the trick on how to do them.
But I agree that the score doesn't mean you will or won't get into a good school, and you can always take it over. Schools use it to weed applicants out, but it's only one part of the whole application. Just think of this one as a learning experience, and DON'T let it get you down!! *hugs*
