raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (free love [piefunkle])
It's [livejournal.com profile] shipperkitten's birthday today. She, [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow and [livejournal.com profile] hathy_col are going to Alton Towers. Leading on from that, it's going to be a quiet day. I would have liked to have gone, seeing as last time was a such a disaster. But nevermind. My mother rang up this morning to tell me to do homework. I suppose that is what I'll do.

Tomorrow is Diwali. You know, when I get asked "You don't celebrate Christmas?" like it were the most obscene thing imaginable, the average Epsilon-minus Sub-moron comes to the conclusion that, "Oh, you have Diwali instead."

Well, we do. But I think it's indicative of something that I've only just realised that it's Diwali tomorrow. It's all right, I suppose. I like certain things about it. I like the lights. I like the food. I like the fireworks. My mother likes it because she was born on Diwali - her name is Deepali because of that. Her birthday isn't for another week, though. I need to get her something.

Talking of that, I need to get [livejournal.com profile] shipperkitten something.

Well, I suppose I'd better get dressed. It wasn't as if I had much to say in any case.

Hmmm.

raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (hands [sheyrena])
Today, I saw that there's a Zee TV kids' programme called Jhoot Bole Kauva Kaate. For those not not-fluent in the language, that roughly translates as: "If you lie the raven will bite you."

I am intrigued.
