i think that EVERYONE should be a part of some Christmas-like holiday. i do believe in God. i'm Christian. but i don't think that Christmas necessarily has to do with the Christian mythology surrounding the event. along with that, for me, it's when my entire huge family gets to get together and talk about everything that's going on since we rarely get to see each other, it's a time when everyone gets to stay home from school and sit around and have fun and sleep in and watch tv.. it's a time to eat good food. hell. i don't even really care so much about the presents although, when someone gets me something that i KNOW took a lot of thought.. or when the person says 'you didn't tell me what you wanted but i knew you would love this'.. it just makes the season even better. i think everyone should be able to participate in something like that. even if families do need an excuse like a holiday to get together, that's a good one. i like spending time with everyone and i like the feeling that i get during this time of year... and so.. yes. no matter what religion anyone is, they are a part of MY personal Christmas. i take advantage of this time to remind people how much they really mean to me no matter how different or similar they are.
