WELL NOW I AM CRYING. Gosh, my heart. You bring out so much with the tone of the clips and the mirroring moments between the captains. Lovely lovely lovely

This is gorgeous, and such a great song choice. CAPTAINS. And their ships and their crews and all the relationships and feelings that go along with that. And then also the wonder of SPACE and adventure and exploration and what that all means to people. And you've poured it all into this vid so so beautifully.

Rewatching in a slightly less agitated emotional state and this still hits me right in the feels. It's so, so beautiful. The beginning - oh - Janeway sitting on her empty bridge, Picard and the Borg... and then on "compass" everyone coming in, so perfect... I love everything this says about the ways they've all learned from each other and the different ways that all these captains need their "compasses", the different strengths they all bring.. I love Zefram and Lily and that sense of continuity and rightness... and Admiral Janeway and Tuvok at the end... ugh, I am a mess about this and it's wonderful.

Clearly a spritual VidUKon premiere! ;)

It has a lovely pace. You keep the eye occupied even with the slower song and the slower motion. You make the larger, darker moments (deaths and endings) feel small and intimiate, without sacrificing the wider emotional resonance - the sea, the stars, exploration, space, inspiration.
