More snow

Well.
What a wonderful day today has turned out to be.
I'm serious.
So far, it's not been bad, but I'm serious.
The one thing that remains constant are the clear, powder-blue skies. It refuses to snow, like they said it would.
[What is it that they know, that I really should?]
I guess I should apologise to Em for last night.
I refuse to admit I didn't have a point.
But I was wrong in how I went about stating it.
Fuck it. I am not airing my drama/crises here. Em, I'll talk to you later. By the time you read this, I guess.
I've got to go. Having received a telepathic hug from [livejournal.com profile] sexy_saba, my cup of happiness overfloweth.

Power trip

A disquieting day. A day which wouldn't have been too bad, had I not been thinking of other things below my surface thoughts.

Doesn't look like I'm going to SG6. The difficulty is making it look as if I care.

[livejournal.com profile] cucharita and [livejournal.com profile] _vertigo have gone to the NME tour thingit tonight. I kinda wish I'd gone, but oh, well.

Becca and Meg and Kat and Bev have gone to see the new film with Leonardo DiCaprio, Catch Me If You Can. I'm not bitching, as I was invited. I didn't feel like going, that was all. I hope they have a good time... Becca's in the "Ugh! Grunt!" phase she was in at the time Titanic was in cinemas. One of those things. I don't know what exactly they see in him. He's a little bit pretty but that is all.

Ah, yes... I have had my white scarf confiscated by a fucking perambulating lemon cheesecake. Why is it there's only one teacher I actively dislike, and she has to be my form teacher?
Bitch. Of all scarves, it had to be mine. And I'm not allowed it in school any more. No, my love, that's you on a power trip.

Tomorrow should be fun. Becca and Lucy and I are going shopping in town - hopefully we'll bump in to [Bad username or site: cucharita or <lj user=_vertigo @ livejournal.com] during the course of the day - and we're also planning to see The Two Towers. I still haven't seen it, and I want to, if only for Frodo/Sam sweetness.

I'm glad it's Friday. And I'm even more glad of the long weekend. Thank you, whatever deity it is that looks out for atheists.

"Oh, my darling..."

[livejournal.com profile] snowdrop24 called me earlier. After a few moments of dead silence, we both started apologising to each other at the same time. I guess we have a tendency to rub each other up the wrong way. I guess. The proverbial cat 'n' bird.

While I was on the phone, I realised the Something Corporate tickets have come!
And this is the really scary thing... we have ticket numbers 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. I remember [livejournal.com profile] _vertigo and [livejournal.com profile] stalker_girl got tickets 6 and 7 for the Foo Fighters, but this is scary.

My mother is on the warpath, because she wants to update her computer to XP for some obscure reason, and although I have a copied CD from Hong Kong I have lost the key for it. And she's pissed off. Huh.

What else? I have decided about SG6 - I don't really want to go. Not really. I'll spend that weekend with [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow.

And... I have done my maths. [livejournal.com profile] cucharita, be proud. I did it. It is the only productive thing I have done in a long day of being unproductive. Physics and Classics I read Alanna under the desk, lunchtime I skipped French conversation, PE, Becca and I hid in the corner of the fitness suite and chatted about rubbish for an hour and a half, and in English someone persuaded Mrs Enstone to let us watch Pride and Prejudice.

I do no work.

And because of M*A*SH, I have that song stuck in my head.
"In a cavern, in a canyon, excavating for a mine, lived a miner, forty niner, and his daughter, Clementine."

"Oh, my darling, oh my darling, oh my darling Clementine..."
