raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (fallen embers)

{Argle!}

It is one fifteen am. I don't have school tomorrow, but I do have it on Monday, and a screwed up day/night cycle never helps.

Raven: *sighs*
Raven: whumping is all very well, but even *I* can't do this!
ShippyKitten: what?
Raven: rape.
Raven: *sighs again*
Raven: eight pages in, and I'm scaring myself!
ShippyKitten: EEK!

Exactly. Eeek. I'm going to bed now.

Yikes.

...sorry.

Don't be.
It's a learning exercise!

*nods sympathetically* Rape's not easy to write. I ended up pulling a lot of punches when I wrote a rape scene (which involved Flagg, coincidentally). Couldn't bring myself to make it *too* violent...though it's still bad enough. :P

By the way, what's the technical definition of "whumping"? I've been desperately curious.

Hope you get some sleep tonight, *without* Flagg infiltrating your dreams! ;)

I fell out of bed again last night. 'nuff said.

Technical definition of whumping - well, I borrowed this one off [livejournal.com profile] sxyer7:

Whumping :: Physical and/or mental character abuse.

There always seems to be a golden whumpee in each fandom... when I was still in Stargate fandom, I managed to do terrible things to Daniel Jackson on an almost daily basis. Nowadays, Hawkeye seems to hold that position.

Right. Off to finish that fic if it kills me...

Aahhhh, question answered. Thanks very much! To think that, all this time, I've been whumping Mulcahy and never even knew it... ;)
