perestroika
So, tomorrow night I will be in NYC for the Angels in America revival, with Zachary Quinto (!!!), and I'm going to see it with
macadamanaity and
gamesiplay and
the_acrobat, and I am simultaneously very excited and sort of blankly terrified. New York City, guys. I mean, of course I've been there before. But not... over a weekend. Not as though it were a real place, for heaven's sake.
(Wow, I'm such a ridiculously small-town girl. Don't mind me. Although it will be so nice to get out of Ithaca for a bit.)
Anyway. SO EXCITED. I had a surprisingly nice day - had enough sleep; went to the pool and did not crack the breathing-underwater problem, but at least had another go - and apparently that thrice-damned response paper I had to write about Hart's positivism last week was "insightful, pithy and rigorous". I'm pretty happy.
And now I'm too relaxed and mellow to do any work, especially since I carefully printed out three exceptionally looooooong articles about bills of attainder to read on my five-hour bus journey tomorrow, so I think I shall pour a glass of wine and finish my Chrestomanci story. I am so rock 'n' roll, darlings. It's pretty good, being me.
