I'm not sure about this question. Overall, I think season one is best as a whole - because the Geoffrey/Ellen/Oliver plot is great, the Kate/Jack plot is great, all the little bits - Sloan and Holly and May and even the accountant who learns to act - are great. Whereas in season three, Geoffrey, Anna and Charles lift it up to greatness, but it's let down by Richard's plot never being resolved and the younger cast being less interesting.
